FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this expensive?

We can arrange courses to suit all pockets. If you are a charity we still offer our discounted rate. Most of our clients factor in media training into their marketing budgets as the final rehearsal cost of any campaign, whether the delegates have already been media trained or are first-timers.

Who are your tutors?

Our team have all worked at the top of their profession but more importantly they are also leaders in media and comms training, and have developed many of the current theories and techniques. They know how to bring their jobs alive but help you understand all the essential tips and tricks.

How many delegates do you recommend on each course?

We recommend that up to 6 people for a day’s course is the most cost effective and they will be working with two of our top name tutors. However you can have as many delegates as you want. Usually we suggest one tutor per three delegates to achieve a successful training session.

Do you offer 1-1 interview training?

We run intensive courses on either a full day or half day basis for individuals. Ideally group training is more cost effective and is also more productive as delegates learn just as much from watching each other perform.

What do I need to bring on the day?

Your determination, a sense of fun and stamina. This is not a boring day but is hard work. Our delegates normally go home exhausted but elated!

Do we really need to go to a studio?

We can bring our highly experienced crew to you and build both radio and TV studios as well as record telephone interviews. Obviously coming into real professional radio or TV studios will always be more authentic. In a real studio there are many cameras, operators and crew all which will put you off your performance. You need to experience this.

What is message testing?

We offer a safe environment for you to rehearse your campaign out loud before you go live in front of the world. Why waste £100,000’s of PR and marketing budget by not being properly prepared on launch day?

What is your CEO training?

Our popular intensive day for your top flight execs means they are grilled in print, radio and TV interviews at a senior level. This is Newsnight and the Today Programme style training. Our specialist multi camera studios means we can offer multi way debate training so you can rehearse how to take on your opponents before you step into the public arena.

How long in advance do we plan for this? Can you fit in emergency work?

Obviously we like to book our studios in advance but if you have something you need to practise tonight we will help you!

What if this is highly confidential?

We are proud of our long term agreements with our clients. All our team sign confidentiality contracts and our training venues are discreet but highly professional with the best equipment to give you the most realistic experience. We can also bring our highly experienced crew in-house to you.

What is multi-camera work?

Most training companies stick a camera on a tripod and call this TV. In a real studio there are many cameras, operators and crew all which will put you off your performance. You need to experience this. Multi cameras means that we can also practise debates. The hardest interview is  in a remote studio with your opponent sitting cosily next to the presenter in the main studio. How do you make sure your voice will be heard? We can practise this.
